Frequently Asked Questions

Over the years there have been some core questions that clients ask about working with me. Aside from the unknowns that come from beginning shamanic energy healing, there are also practical aspects of being a client and understanding what’s required on your part as well as on mine. I’ve compiled some of the most frequently asked questions about working with me here. If there are others you feel would be helpful to include, definitely let me know!

1. How can I contact you?

The best way to contact me is through the contact form on the website or my direct email vanessa@soulpathshamanic.com. I reserve my office line for scheduled sessions or discovery calls only unless otherwise arranged. The office line phone number is 425.332.3959.

2. What is a Discovery Call?

A Discovery Call is really what it sounds like - it gives a potential client the opportunity to discover what it would be like to work with me. Discovery Calls are limited to 20 minutes maximum. I recommend coming to the call with a list of questions so that you remember to ask everything that’s on your mind. However, we can always follow-up via email and usually do.

3. Why is there a three-session minimum for new clients?

Shamanic work is intense and transformative, and while my clients feel a shift after the first session, I’ve found it’s better for the client to have a minimum of three sessions to get a handle on the work and move through the initial shift with consistent support. There are a lot of new tools and experiences when you first start out. It’s important to understand that to really become conscious of our shadow and heal imprints, it takes time, commitment and consistency.

4. How long do people work with you?

It’s always up to the client. But most clients continue to work with me every two weeks for at least 6 months, with some continuing beyond that at anywhere from 2-4 week intervals. If I’ve worked with them before and they’ve scheduled, then it really just depends - it could be just one session or it could many more. I give each client my recommendations based on the track and they make a decision that feels right to them.

5. How are sessions conducted?

All sessions are conducted on the phone in the United States and via Skype in other countries. Energy healing is outside of space and time, so being in person isn’t necessary. In fact, the physical body can sometimes be a distraction. This may sound strange, but once you do the first session, you will experience for yourself and everything will make much more sense. I open sacred space before each session and pull my Viracocha over my client, so you are in a safe, sacred and private space. I am here as your guide and facilitator. There is never any judgement, and there is no right and wrong. Only choices. I give my clients the track and they then go from there. This is not therapy. So it may feel more direct or blunt. But our work is to help you heal and change your story once you are aware of your shadow.

4. What can I expect to experience in a session?

Expect the unexpected. Come to session with an open heart and open mind. What you may think are the reasons for things in your life may in fact not be what the track and energy healing reveals. In addition, expect to feel. Even though sessions are conducted on the phone, it’s energetic work so it’s outside of space and time. That means you may feel heat, cold, your chakras change, emotional release - you name it. Sometimes you may feel nothing at all, but just feel clearer and more grounded. You may also be surprised by any resistance or defensiveness that comes up. Don’t worry, that’s always a good way of knowing you’re on the right track! This is one reason it’s important to leave our heads at the door and be open to whatever comes up in a session. You should also expect to feel a little overwhelmed in the beginning with new terms and tools. Trust the work and be patient with yourself and the process. Finally, expect to sometimes feel elated and better, and sometimes to feel heavier emotions as you do release work. Healing isn’t just sunshine and daisies. Imagine healing a broken hip - sometimes it’s not fun and it can really hurt during the healing process, but when you come through that, you’re in a much better place!

5. Payment Policy and Liability Release

Payment in full must be received for the scheduled session in USD at least 24 hours prior to the day of the session in order for the session to proceed. Payment constitutes the client's agreement to release Soul Path Shamanic Healing and all its practitioners from all liability. Clients agree to assume sole responsibility for choosing to work with Soul Path Shamanic Healing and any and all effects of the session work, be it from intuitive readings, energy healings, coaching calls, and including but not limited to emotional, physical or mental distress or shifts.

6. Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy

I understand that things happen, but Soulpath Shamanic policy is that sessions must be canceled or rescheduled via email, with a confirmation of receipt from me, a minimum of 24 hours in advance of the scheduled session. If the cancellation or rescheduling request is not received and confirmed 24 hours prior, then the client is required to pay for the missed session. If prior payment was made, payment is retained by Soul Path Shamanic Healing and there will be no refunds. The client must pay for an additional new session in order to be rescheduled. If a client is 15 minutes late to a scheduled session, I will do my best to accommodate the client, but in most circumstances that does not leave enough time and the session will need to be rescheduled to a future date and time. Scheduling a session constitutes agreement to these policies.

7. Interim Email Support

I offer email support between sessions to ongoing clients who have appointments booked with me. Clients must be scheduled clients who are on the books in order to receive this type of support. Please allow 24 - 48 hours for me to respond. I do not do email support on Saturday and Sunday. I take great care in tracking emails and providing appropriate support, but I encourage all clients to use the tools from the session as a first step. In my experience, while energy shifts and particularly if an imprint is “up” for a client, emails have been known to disappear or never arrive. This usually stops after the client has shifted.
